Try to use a different version you downloaded from the "system backdate" file that you put in the Garmin folder in the watch when connected to the computer. Then disconnect the watch and it should offer…
Try a hard-reset after copying the GUPDATE.GCD into the Garmin folder.
1. switch off the clock
2. press and hold upper and lower right button simultaneously
3. switch on the clock
4. release upper right button…
No, it's a Fénix 6 Pro Sapphire, but not X. I thought they would share the same files but if that's not the case that certainly explains things, thanks for clarifying.
Btw, does anyone know…
Hi, it's from another member of this forum.

To downgrade only put the file (System) under folder Garmin/RemoteSW and reboot.
Your watch will lost all settings and user information and need to be configured from scratch (like new a watch).
Thanks Socorsu.
I followed the procedure but after reboot the watch doesn't start to install the System File.
Could you help me?

Hi, sorry i made a mistake.
System backdating file (or upgrade) should be put under Garmin/ folder, not under RemoteSW.
"To backdate: find the 'SystemBackdate_X.XX' folder and copy the "GUPDATE.GCD" file to the Garmin folder of your watch.
Then unplug and install. Your watch will begin the backdate process. Backdating software will revert your watch to factory default."
Thanks you for your support! i could load a previous versión.
But the problem doesn't fix :(
Try a hard-reset after copying the GUPDATE.GCD into the Garmin folder.
1. switch off the clock
2. press and hold upper and lower right button simultaneously
3. switch on the clock
4. release upper right button after 1st beep
5. release lower right button after 2nd beep
Are the colors the inverse/opposite of what they should be? I had that happen once and Garmin admitted it was a hardware issue and offered me a refurbished unit.
I have tried to reset it to 25.10 or 25.91 with the files from https://my.hidrive.com/share/8z6g1evyp0#$/ but the watch does not react after copying the GUPDATE.GCD file into the GARMIN/ directory and does not offer me to do the update at all, not even rebooting it manually to try to force it. Even more, if after copying the GUPDATE.GCD file y unmount the folder, disconnect the cable and connect it again (have to wait a bit as it takes a while for the computer to mount the device)... then I can see how the watch has deleted the GUPDATE.GCD file from the GARMIN/ directory on its own, so there's not much I can do other than trying to copy it over and over again....
I also tried the three-button dance suggested here to force the upgrade but that didn't work either: after rebooting the watch is indeed restored and in need of being configured again, but still in version 26.00.
Any more ideas?
And you have a 6x pro model?
No, it's a Fénix 6 Pro Sapphire, but not X. I thought they would share the same files but if that's not the case that certainly explains things, thanks for clarifying.
Btw, does anyone know where I can get the right files for my model?
Thanks!
