Hi,

After 26.00 update, my alarm is not working anymore.

I did a restart, and went back to standard settings, but still not working

  • I have same issue with alarm and many another issues after last update 26.00.

    • Before I started road cycling activity I pair watch with Varia Radar. Notification about connecting radar and lightls didn't dissapear (in past about two weeks ago, these notifications dissapear in few seconds from they were shown. I had to close them manually).
    • During this activity I used navigation. When the, e.g. left turn warning was displayed, they didn't dissapear in few seconds as it was in the past. It was displayed until I close these warnings. This was happening with whole navigation warnings/notifications.
    • The elevation graph (in past) had two parts (green and blue), but after update whole graph was blue and it didn't change during my activity.
  • Had the same issue, but (up to now) only once after the update. I've did a restart of the watch and at least yesterday, the alarm was working.

  • Yep, restart was working. But this issue is problem and shouldn't occur.

  • I have the same issue today and almost didn't wake up in time for a meeting. Using v26.00.  I have a recurring meeting Friday morning at 6:30AM, so I set an alarm for every Friday at 6:00AM. After the update, the alarm didn't go off. I also noticed (through my iOS Garmin connect app) that I might have maxed out the number of alarms that can be created. I did the reset and deleted a few alarms.

Because this happened, I can no longer trust my fenix6 for alarms, which is pretty pathetic. Telling users they need to soft/hard reset their watch simply tells me that Garmin doesn't know what's wrong. Software should be robust; when a new software version is installed, a soft reset should have occurred as part of the installation process. Therefore, it doesn't make sense that Garmin support would suggest another soft-reset.

Garmin needs to respond to this thread with confirmation that the software bug has been found, fixed, and in which software version it's fixed. This will help regain the trust with Garmin users.

  • I set an alarm last night for this morning, first time I've used an alarm since the 26.00 update. It failed to go off. I've restarted it and done updates/connected to Express at least once since the 26.00 update. Was it because battery saver was triggered too, I'm not sure, but that stayed stuck on even after charging back to 36% and I had to manually turn it off. It's all a bit shonky. Feels a bit like we're back to the early days of the Fenix 5 where nothing appeared to be thoroughly tested prior to SW release.

  • And what would Outdoor Product Support do?  The issues doesn't seem to be extremely rare, given the other posts here.

  • If your issue continues despite both resets, please reach out to Outdoor Product Support in your region.

  • I have the same problem for the past few days. It seems to be a software update issue.
