Missing beep/vibration alert after GPS signal detection

Hi,

Many bugs/reports with ticket created status wasn't addressed or doesn't receive any update like those your put in your thread subject.

It seems that we have to report it again in the Public Forum, or directly to Garmin support

Instinct 2/2S receive GPS versions 6.70, because we share the same component, maybe we will receive it.

Hi, I wish next Beta (coming soon) will include many fixes reported before, like this beep/vibration bug with GPS fix !

Garmin - Chris is Garmin always tracking this issue ?

I've noticed this problem too. It 'seems' like the GPS gets stuck to 'locked on' so it does not notify you via vibration and sound when it locks on, the same way it behaves when you just got GPS signal, got notified and then you briefly exit the activity and re-access it again.

It starts doing it again only after you enter an activity that does not use GPS, exit it and then access your desired GPS activity.

I had to downgrade to FW. 22.10, GPS 5.50, Sensor Hub 20.04 and now it notifies me each time.

thanks for your feedback, i will try this "workaround" and if working also for me add it to the bug report of the next Beta. In the case of Garmin doesn't already add the bugfix.

Hi! sure thing, let me know if it works for you. I have a 6X Pro and this is what works for it, however, it is still annoying enough that I had to downgrade since it is not a permanent fix, it will do it again after a few tries. Another thing that worked for a little bit was force restarting the watch by holding the light button for about 20 seconds.

The newer behavior changes made by engineering that will no longer give an alert when resuming? (After using the Resume Later feature during an outdoor activity.)
