How to setup 2 watches

Right now,  my main watch is a Fenix 6 pro. My daughter is letting me try her vivomove. Which one should I setup as primary if I want to wear the vivomove at night because it is lighter and use my Fenix for training ? I know the vivomove does not have hrv and not sure the effect on the metrics. Advice on how to setup two watches and sync with true up ?

  • I use my fenix 6 as the primary device and my forerunner 935 as secondary, because it is only partially compatible.
you could look it up in garmin connect web by clicking on the watch icon in the top right corner.

    Manage Device Priority

Designate which of your compatible devices should be the main data source for everyday use.

Your Primary Wearable is the device you wear most often. It will be the primary data source for capturing daily health metrics such as steps, stress and sleep.

Partially compatible devices do not support all features. Setting a partially compatible device as your Primary Wearable may impact the the accuracy of your training data.

    Primary Wearable

Your Primary Wearable will be your default device for capturing daily health metrics like sleep, Body Battery and steps. If you have more than one device with this capability, you must designate one as your Primary Wearable. We recommend selecting the device you wear most often as your Primary Wearable.

    Setting a Device Priority

When you use more than one Garmin device, your data will automatically sync and be consolidated. To ensure you receive optimized guidance and accurate data, prioritize which device is your Primary Wearable for everyday use.

    Partially Compatible Devices

Setting a partially compatible device as your Primary Wearable is not recommended. While you can still wear a partially compatible device to track your daily activity, it may not accurately integrate your sleep and training data. This can impact the reliability of features such as Training Status, Body Battery, HRV Status and more. Any devices not labeled “Partially Compatible” are fully compatible as your Primary Wearable.
