GPS version with an exclamation mark

My watch updated to 26.00 and it's supposed to have GPS ver 6.00 but instead it shows 5.50 (!) Any suggestions?

Plug it back into Garmin Express and let it sync one more time. The (!) basically means the FW knows that it expects a newer GPS version, but the watch could not install it until after the FW update was…

no way, changelog for specific sub-systems like Sensor Hub, GPS, etc. are not updated since a long time.

The (!) basically means the FW knows that it expects a newer GPS version, but the watch could not install it until after the FW update was done. All will become good after the next sync, you should bet prompted for another update, or you can check the SW update menu.

Is there any chance to fix this by just using GCM on Android? I'm currently overseas and have no access to my laptop.

I think you can sync the watch over WiFi once you are on the latest version and it should download. You bay have to manually check for updates and reboot the watch.

Sadly, WiFi sync didn't work.

I didn't have to connect to anything. The update was already on my watch. I just went to the system settings, software updates and selected the update. All on the watch.

Yup. Worked a treat. Sync via WiFi, then look at watch updates and the GPS update appeared. Applied and now on 6.6
