I noticed that it takes a very long time to get an GPS fix.
I think that is caused by one of the latest firmware updates because the fix was very fast before. I am using the 25.10.

I'm wondering whether something is broken with the installation of the CPE.BIN file using Garmin Express. I connect my watch each Friday for recharging and the past two times I have observed the CPE.BIN file present on the watch, but about a day old.
In the past, if I deleted that file a replacement would be created. For the last two Fridays I have deleted that file on the watch and there is no replacement generated upon repeat syncs or disconnect/reconnect or closing and reopening Garmin Express.
It looks like either Garmin Express is broken, has new operational style of the latest beta firmware on the watch is changing things.
With all that said, I haven't used GPS for the past week. I just stepped outside and opened the Run activity and got GPS lock (well, the green GPS bar) in about four seconds and it didn't fade out again.
6X Pro Solar with firmware 25.85 beta.
After investigations, Ive found on my watch /Garmin/RemoteSW there are 2 files CPE.bin
the oldest last modify the 29th avril… it is impossible to erase it.. each time I get « impossible to erase, asset does not respond »….
I guess with x2 CPE.bin it could generate the issue…
it is impossible to erase it
Delete the REMOTESW folder, as mentioned...
or delete REMOTESW (your watch recreates this automagically )
- turn off Garmin Express
- connect watch to usb
- delete the REMOTESW folder (when possible with MTP)
- disconnect watch from usb and wait until started
- turn on Garmin Express
- connect watch to usb
- sync with Garmin Express
- check content of REMOTESW folder (make new REMOTESW folder when missing, and do the resync via GE)
- disconnect watch from usb
- check state of CPE in the about menu
do the outside activity or sync time with GPS
