Fenix 6X Solar is permanently hanging in "Loading maps..." after update to beta 25.81

After updating to beta 25.81 my Fenix 6X Solar boots into a menu saying "Amazon music has been added" (Amazon music has been installed and configured before already). While pressing "Start" button and option "Add", the watch stops this menu and displays "Loading maps..." but doesn't leave this booting step anymore. Same for "Cancel" within the music provider menu. Soft resetting restarts the watch but boots it into the same loop again. Hard reset has not been tested (yet).

Unfortunately I also cannot connect to the watch to "back-date" to the back-date version. Feels and looks like watch is broken now :-(

Hard Reset appears to be the only option unfortunately.

If that still dosen't work then contact Garmin Support.

Hard Reset fixed it for me. I was updating from 25.79 to 25.81.

After the 8th soft reset and waiting for about an hour, the watch came back with a completely different watch face, but at least works again. But with the next restart, it looped again into the "Amazon" music provider menu. Strange :-(

I am sorry there is an issue. You should seriously consider rolling your software back if you continue to have any issues now that you have updated to the v25.81 Beta. The rollback software to the official v25.10 is in the folder you downloaded when you side loaded the v25.79 update.

If you haven't already, please post your issue in the Bug Beta Forums in the thread @socorsu referenced. We appreciate you testing the Beta and reporting the issue.

Yes, this also fixed it for me. After reconfiguring everything from scratch I haven't seen any issue with 25.81 yet.

Does it have the Tactix watchface and that's the only one? I just had to have one replaced ($199) that died during a race throwing storm alerts and when I finally got it back to a watch face after several soft and hard resets it only had the Tactix and then it died died the next day and only boot looped between triangle and first splash screen. Since it won't boot there's no way to roll back the firmware even if the USB functionality was working. DUring the short time I was able to get into the watch it wouldn't broadcast on BT, the power on/off menu had Power for every option in the radial and it would randomly do weird things like start a Metronome and every few minutes it would "Storm Alert"

Important note: My watch was on 25.10 when it died this way and it wasn't a new install.
