A couple of months ago I asked this…
“I bought a Fenix 6 Pro Sapphire in October. The back button did that two stage thing where it felt like you could do a half push then a full one, like a camera shutter. None of the others did.
Today, the back button has stopped doing that, but the up, down and light buttons on the left side are all now doing it. The one button that was doing it has stopped, and three that weren’t doing it now are.”
…and the advice was to speak to Garmin. Finally got round to that today, and they immediately offered a replacement. Turns out this will be a refurbished one rather than new - which seems to be their policy so not much can be done about that. I’m finding myself hesitating somewhat, for fear of getting sent one that has some other issue (one of the crap displays for example, mine has a good one), or some other issue.
Would the returned and refurbished ones have been checked over more thoroughly than all the new ones are? Presumably they’ve only been sent back in the first place due to something wrong with them - so it’s almost like they’re replacing a dud with another dud, or that at the very least was initially a dud.
