During a scheduled training, if I accidentally press the lap button Is there a way to cancel this action and go back a step ?
There's no way to cancel a lap press, but to decrease the risk of accidental lap presses, I've disabled the lap button from every activity's settings, and assigned the long press of a lap button as a hot key to perform the lap function. That way you can still manually create a lap by long-pressing the lap button. (I have a Fenix 5+, but I guess it should work the same in 6).
Of course this solution isn't good if you want to press the lap button to measure the accurate time of a lap, since the long press requires a second or so to do.

Thanks for the idea! I had similar problem earlier, I'm going to give a try to your lifehack ;) I thought of disabling lap button myself but didn't find a way how else I can use lap button functinality through menu.
There is not, but that would probably be my most desirable feature. I do use the lap button so I cannot just disable it for my activities.
