Cant pair bluetooth headphones

Ive just bought my Fenix 6. Its great but completely refuses to pair to my bluetooth headphones! My headphones are fine - they pair to my laptop immediately.

Ive tried everything (disabling bluetooth on my laptop and then trying to pair headphones to my Fenix, turning off/on my Fenix etc).

What else can I try?

Hi, can you add more information ?

- exact Fenix 6 model

- system version ? 25.00 for example

- Ant/BLE/BT version : 6.15

- Headphone model & firmware

Can you explain how you try to pair it ?

Fenix 6 pro solar

Software version: 25.00

How do I find the Ant/BLE/BT version ? (Ive looked in Connect and Express)

Headphones: Bytech. Admittedly, cheap headphone I bought a few years ago but work fine on all other bluetooth devices. It supports bluetooth v4.1.

My process is: turn on pairing on the headphones, then go to add headphones on my watch. It just doesnt recognize my headphones. What do you think? Does Fenix 6 support bluetooth v4.1?

no problem with cheaper headphone for me i have many models, no problem.

start pairing on your watch then start paring on headphone. it works for me.

If your device is multipair, disonnect it from the other device. My experience, it's no supported with garmin watch (with Shokz aeropex for me).

If you find your device here and it doesn't work, Pairing Your Wireless Sensors, remove it before pairing

- - About, then scrolldown, because you are under 25.00 it should be 6.15 for Ant/BLE/BT

Thanks. Ive tried all your suggestions. I dont understand why its not connecting. My headphones have no problem connecting to all my other devices. A bit miffed as I was expecting an expensive garmin to be able to bluetooth with no issues just like my older cheaper sports watches!!

Can you suggest any headphones that do actually work with Garmins? I see on these forums that theres issues connecting to Jaybird.

My AirPods Pro connected to the watch only when I brought the case very close to the watch. Practically applied.

I tried many devices, no luck for you

But tried with another device if you can, to be sure that it is not related to your watch.

Hmm. I dug out another set of blueooth headphones and they did pair!!!

The headphones that do pair are 3 years old, whereas the headphoens that dont pair are 8 years old. Do you think its becuase theyre old headphones maybe? They support bluetooth v4.1, so maybe thats an ancient version of bluetooth that Gramin doesnt support?
