Pace and distance not showing on Garmin Fenix 6 while on a treadmill

My watch just started not showing a pace while running on a treadmill, it works sometimes. I have calibrated the accelerometer twice.

I will do a run/jog on a treadmill and go for 10 to 15 minutes and the distance is zero because the pace does not register. I have reset the watch to factory settings and all other settings seem to work fine but on a treadmill.

Any suggestions?

I can't help unfortunately but I have exactly the same problem since upgrading to the 25.00 firmware. No pace/distance recorded. I may get a sporadic bit of data where it locks onto a pace that is faster…

To me it happened on 25.10, so you might be just lucky

Have updated to 25.10 and I had the same issue today - recorded zero m over a treadmill run of 3km

Just finished a treadmill run 5k, yep, stopped at 1.42 miles and stopped counting pace, and distance. hmmm I have version 25.10

I was fine on 25.10 until I read this post,,, then WAM, the next day no pace on the treadmill for the first 10 minutes or so. I'm also wearing a Garmin heart monitor and everything else is recording fine in Garmin connect, including my step count.

Garmin connect has also started showing that It is seeing an RD pod, but I don't have one.

I ultimately reset the watch to factory settings, it was a pain to get all of my setting back on but I did this manually. I had singed up a long time ago to be a beta software tester, basically I get software updates before most people. I remember it was easy to sign up but I don't remember how. I then got the software update to 25.10 and it started working again. I did have to reset the accelerometer to increase the accuracy of the distance and it worked.

Ok. Good to know. Does the Garmin Connect phone app repopulate any of the settings? Doez the app needs to set it up as a new phone?

Once you get a reading you have to do a run of at least one mile. Once this is done the watch software will allow you to adjust the distance to the proper reading. I ended up running/jogging for over 25 minutes before it finally read 1 mile. After that I was able to change the distance from 1 mile to 2.94 miles based on a mile at 8:30. I as running slow as I usually do during practices.
