garmin fenix 6 pro.How to hold or mantain always the map screen?

While I'm doing trail running with garmin fenix 6 pro I want to hold the map screen in order to see at any moment the course that I want to follow. The problem is that automaticallly change to data screen and I have to move back to map screen. How to hold or mantain always the map screen?

Hi,

If you use "Trail Run" activity, then Climbpro, Auto Climb and/or 3D speed should be the issue, because when you start an ascent the screen change automatically.

Turn off Auto Scroll?

From Garmin's Website:

Using Auto Scroll

You can use the auto scroll feature to cycle through all of the activity data screens automatically while the timer is running.

Hold MENU.
Select Activities & Apps.
Select an activity.
NOTE: This feature is not available for all activities.
Select the activity settings.
Select Auto Scroll.
Select a display speed.

Thanks for your answers but unfortunatelly the auto scroll option was already disabled. Even it is disabled when I'm running always the screen comes back to the data one where is shwon the distance, time, riddem....

Hi,

---> Be informed that Battery Drain is huge with map always on screen, but i followed it for 5 hours without problem, and if i can remember, battery was still 50-60% charge.

For long follow the map activity, do not use additional bluetooth device (headphone), because this combination is a real battery drainer.

Here are my config to always see the map onscreen for this activity.

ClimbPro - Off

Auto Climb - Off

Auto Scroll - Off

I also disable 3D Speed / 3D Distance / Segment Alerts.

Change the map screen from Track up to North Up - really redices batery usage
