Fenix 6x Pro doesn't transfer HRV and sleep data to GC

Hello Everybody,

Since about 2 or 3 weeks my Fenix 6x Pro has stopped sending the sleep and HRV data to GC over phone/mobile app bluetooth connection. The measurements are being recorder fine because I can see them in my watch. I can also transfer them to GC via Garmin Express (which is troublesome) - they are just not being sent via the mobile app sync. Watch firmware 24.10, iOS 16.1, app version 4.62.0.31.

Any support will be highly appreciated.

  • I am sorry there is an issue only when syncing through your Connect Mobile APP.

    Please try the following:

    - Remove your watch out of your Garmin Connect APP.

    - On your iPhone, go to your Settings > Bluetooth menu and use the Forget This Device option to remove your watch.

    - Delete the Connect APP off your iPhone.

    - Download the Connect APP from the APP store.

    - Bluetooth pair your watch through the Connect Mobile APP

If you still continue to the have the same issue, reset your watch through the System > Reset menu. Bluetooth pair it again and test further.

  • Noting advice from Garmin Chris, try just opening the Sleep widget and scrolling through the screens then checking Connect. It works for me.

I’ve found recently that despite being up and moving about for 20 - 30 minutes that my Training Status, HRV Status and Sleep still don’t recognise I’m awake. Unpairing etc don’t help.

  • Thank you very much for your reply. I followed your advice and after disconnecting, deleting the app, reinstalling it and reconnecting again it was still not working. However, resetting the watch and reconnecting it again seemed to help... The first sync took ages but the HRV and sleep data from last night appeared in GC Blush Success! Oddly enough that the resting heart rate is missing now, and the there is no HRV data in my watch although it is in the GC… Go figure! I will see how it behaves after a few days and let you know. Thanks again.

  • Thank you, unfortunately it did not help in my case. I followed Chris’ instruction and it seemed to help. Let’s see if it is OK for good now.

  • "Nice" to see that there are people who facing the same issue as I have, after the upgrade to firmware 24.10 [Fenix 6Pro Solar].

I already deleted the bluetooth connection to the phone (didn't deleted the app/used the reset function at the Fenix). But it worked for me just for 2 days. After the delete of the connection and again, 2 days later no HR data...

Then I did every 2 days a sync by USB to Garmin Express and now it looks the lack of the sync of the HRV is over. In otherwords the bluetooth/phone-sync works again with all data transfered to Garmin Connect. I hope this situation will be steady. Because I love to see all personal data to the same cloud platform Grinning

  • I have this issue regularly, the easiest fix is to sync the watch via a pc & usb cable which populates the missing data in the connect app

  • Hello,

Well, it seems that after two months the problem returned. My Garmin watch resists to sync the night data to the GC - HRV, sleep and heart rate. Suddenly, my resting heart rate increased to 100 from 45 last week ;-). But seriously, it is annoying and I do not want to reset my watch again.

I will try to contact the Garmin support, but I somehow know the advice already...

    Best Regards

  • Hi All, I had a missing 2 nights data (HRV status and sleep data/score).

I also noticed, when trying to sync with Connect Mobile, that the app was not showing the progress circle animation progress (meaning, the circle around the device icon was not showing the progress, it remained "thin" during the whole sync process and after), so I though the app was acting weird rather than the watch or the pairing settings, so... I have clered the app cache on the phone, force shut the app and restarted. synced again (felt like taking a bit longer than usual, but that is just my perception, I did not mearure any timing).

In this sync after the app restart the circle anymation showed up correctly, and the data for the missing 2 days were synced correctly.

Its the first time this happened to me, so of course I am not sure if releatable, but I though it was worth sharing, a very easy fix in my case without resetting the watch or re-pairing to the app.

    cheers!
