My altimeter/barometer is set to "nightly calibration" and "barometer only", because I live in a flat city with little to no altitude variations. When starting an outdoor activity, the current height is shown and I can re-calibrate if I wish to do so. So far so good. However, I've repeatedly observed an altitude change after performing an indoor activity, e.g. elliptical or treadmill. I'm at 50 m, and I've seen jumps of up to +/- 30 m. I think this started in 24.0, so I wonder if this is a side-effect of Garmin's attempt to include weather information into the altimeter/barometer algorithm. For me, however, this looks like a buggy implementation. If I don't get a prompt to re-calibrate and just drive from home to the gym (all flat), the altitude shouldn't change. Has anyone else observed this behavior? What do you think would be the best way to bring this to Garmin's attention? Not sure if this is a support case.
