Muisc volume suddenly decreases during activity

Hi! New member of this forum and proud owner of my new Fenix 6X Pro.

I'm having a bit of problem with my Fenix 6X Pro. After the last couple of software updates I've been experiencing som volume issues during acitivities.

I'm playing music from my phone to my bluetooth earbuds and the activity is being tracking on my Fenix watch. When hitting the next kilometer or a new phase on my interval-run the music volume suddenly decreases massivly and I'm unable to increase the volume again. Neither on my phone, earbuds or on the watch. I don't have any audio prompts turned on with any messages so the sudden volume decrease is not neccessary.

I've tried to deactivate the different options in the audio prompts menu without any luck. The only way to get volumecontrol again is to disconnect and re-connect my earbuds, but the issue happens again at the next km-mark..

Any one that has a quick fix on this for a new garmin user?

I had the same issue. It was actually my headphones that were the issue (I tested my headphones while connected to my phone for a run). I had the Jaybird Vista 2s. When liquid accumulated in the earbuds it auto dampened the sound. Bought some new headphones and haven’t had an issue since.

I am also using the Jaybird Vista, so those may be the issue.

It seems to work around the issue when deactivating the "lap alerts" in audio prompts. Ive had one workout since without experiencing sudden volume reduction.

Same problem for me. I use the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. It is very annoying!

The issue got solved for me by deactivating "lap alerts" in "audio prompts".

Fix:

1.Press and hold left center button

2. Navigate to audio prompts and select with upper right button.

3. Deactivate lap alerts

Hope this does the trick! :)

This is clearly a bug in Garmin as it becomes normal after placing my Jaybird Vistas to charging case. Nothing to do with dirt/moisture (as works OK without cleaning before first lap alert) and has worked OK before latest update(s?) to my Garmin Fenix 5.

Never had this issue, but last week it started. Everytime I have a audio prompt the volume goes down (very very low!). I've to pause and starr the music with the earphone to get it up again!

I'm having this issue now on Instinct 2X as well, just in the last couple of weeks.

Agreed, looks like a regression. Force closing the app also fixes the music volume. It's as if Connect never releases the control of the sound level back to the phone (like an endless message)

I found a quick fix on REDDITT, so open up your camera, go to video, record a video for 2 seconds, then go back to music. It works so far. I like my lap alerts so I don't want to torn them off. I'm guessing this is a bug in the garmin app.
