Increased battery consumption with version 24.10 compared to 24.00

Hi, finally a was touch by battery drain but for a short time.

Last week the day after Topoactive 2022.10 and RACE app update, my F6Pro 24.79a encounter huge battery drain. Battery was empty after only one day.

I have tried many things

• first soft reset (long press Light button), 2-3 times --> KO
• Then i remember the Race app (update) and latest tests done with workout on the forum
  • so i remove the relevant App, check additional watchface (but noting change), remove all activity (delete all .fit files), remove all "test" workout, etc.
  • Soft Reset my watch, but outdoor (magic touch part of the troubleshooting), then immediately do a GPS acquisition
    • during these tests my watch takes a very long time to load maps (topoactive eu 2022.10 ?), now it's quite quick
  • But now all come back to "normal" battery drain, same behavior like in the past for me --> OK

I can't explain all the process and which action was right, but my watch/battery is working as expected.

Just had a battery drain overnight on fenix 6x running 24.10. I charged it fully yesterday, thinking it was a bit early, and in under 24 hours, with no activity and no GPS usage it's just died completely; used to get at least 15 days, with a few runs and rides. I don't know when it upgraded the version, will be trying some of these fixes and will let you know. Still under warranty, so if it doesn't fix quickly it's going back and I'll be returning to suunto! 

My F6X also started to show an excessive battery drain in spite of the applicaiton of all my routines (normal restart watch after updating any items on the watch, long press restart).

It is tough to explain why a GPS-only activity drained around 5% during 45 minutes (no forest, running in the streets between normal size houses of 1-2 floors). Just because it is +2 C° ??? 

But what is really unacceptable is that I  stopped my run appr 4.5 hours ago, and my battery lost an additional 7-8% since then.

My watch is just 13-14 months old.

And nobody should tell me it is about any CIQ thingamies, because even if I use some, I have not changed their settings recently. And it is not them, but the main software of the watch which controls my Fenix 6X.

Hard reset and set up all over again, not quick. Garmin express connection via PC just froze the watch screen and watch not found. Garmin support suggested uninstalling garmin express and reinstalling, and then reconnecting and that seems to have worked! Back to normal battery life at the moment.
