Garmin Pay - Wallet is empty - Software 24.0 - No fix?

Ok, so I have a fenix 6 pro and have had no problems with Garmin Pay until I cancelled a card and got a new one sent to me (Starling Bank).

Ever since removing the old card and adding the new one my watch is forever saying 'Wallet is empty. Set up using Garmin Connect Mobile.'

I have tried the following things with no luck.

  • Updated software (on phone and watch)
  • Rebooted my phone
  • Rebooted my watch
  • Removed the card and re-added it
  • Removed my watch from Garmin connect and re-added it
  • Reset my Garmin Pay pin (saying I forgot it and had Garmin Pay removed)

Nothing!

Every time I try something I reboot everything and re sync too just in case.

I see loads of people having the same problems, but Garmin don't seem to want to do anything about it?!

I don't think I'll be buying another or recommending them to other people if they can't fix the problem.

I am willing to try any other suggestions.

I factory reset my phone with no joy. Rang Garmin this morning and they have created a ticket. I've sent them all the info they asked for and hopefully they'll get back to me with some positive news. I'll keep this thread updated.

The problem for me is now fixed!

I updated my watch's software to 24.10, then removed the card from connect on my phone. I also removed Garmin pay again by resetting my Garmin pay pin just in case. Then readded the card and it's BACK!

Garmin got back to me so I though I'd share with you their email just in case you can't get it sorted.

Then from there please suspend your current card and then reactivate your card. From there, the card will remain in your wallet:

Suspending a Card

Open the Garmin Connect app.

Open the menu.

Android: Select (top left)

iOS: Select More (bottom right)

Select Garmin Pay.

Select the desired card.

If necessary, select the device you want to remove the card from.

Select Suspend Card.

Reactivate card
