Adding HIIT training on a bike to workouts

Hi,

I'm using the Fenix 6x Pro and do a lot of Interval training such as the Les Mills Body Pump, Sprint etc.

I use Cardio for Body Pump and Sprint, but wondered is there a better way to track those HIIT classes on the bike on my watch.

If so what is the best way to add it as a workout so I can use it

Thanks

  • Any reason not to simply use "Indoor Bike"? Data might be a bit limited unless the bike has sensors for speed, distance, power, cadence, but at least it will be tracked as the "right" sort of exercise as opposed to some random other activity. If you do have appropriate sensors then so much the better.

Interval training is neither here nor there as far as the watch is concerned. It will record whatever it is you do, although I would strongly recommend use of a heart rate strap (preferably chest) over the unreliable output from the wrist sensor, especially for HIIT style activities.
