Garmin Tactix Delta Applied Ballistics wont stay connected to Rangefinder

I just aquired this watch with the intent of paring it to my ragefinder a Bushnell Nitro 1800. The rage finder is supported according to garming and the watch pairs with it when I go to pair a new device. But as soon as I exit that and go into the Applied Ballistic program and try to use the range finder to aquire a target the paring is lost. When the paring is active the ragefinder shows the bluetooth symbol inside as it should, as soon as I go into the Applied ballistic part of the watch this dissapears. If I pair the ragefinder to my phone I have no such problem. Has anyone had this problem before? Any suggestions.?

  • Regarding your question, researching on our end - we have not received connectivity reports for your Bushnell Nitro 1800 rangefinder. Please check if there is newer software available to be updated for your Bushnell Nitro 1800. If there are any troubleshooting steps that Bushnell recommends, please try them too.

On your watch side, please try the following:

    - Hard reset your watch by holding down your top left button until your watch shuts off then let go.

    - Reset your watch to factory settings in your System > Reset menu. Re-pair your rangefinder and test again.

  • Just to be clear the watch is brand new, came out of the box and updated, than tried the connection and the problem appears. Do you think that a hard reset is a valid option?

Will check if any updates available for the bushnell, non that i know off

  • Agreed that with your watch being new to you, directly addressing the issue on your watch is a less likely solution. In the bigger picture, taking into account how few troubleshooting steps that are available across either your watch or rangefinder, trying all available options is still a good idea.
