Apple Airpods Pro 2 Audio Issues & Podcast interruption

I am using the Fenix 6s (23.10) with the new Apple Airpod Pro 2 and it is really anoying to hear Podcasts (music not tested yet).

It stops randomly and i have to pause the playback and wait some time and start it again. There is no specific time when the playack stops or how long it will play..
Also it is not possible to pause it and start it directly. It needs a short for at least some seconds.

There was no problem with the old Airpod Pro. Maybe there is an issue with the new bluetooth version?

Does anyone else have the same issue?

The issue also occurs with mono. It’s a little bit less (30-50%) but still annoying.

Garmin is fixing/working on this issue for F7/Epix2 !

"Beta software v10.42 has resolved the issue. For those not part of our Public Beta Software program, the Q4 2022 official update will be released very soon."

Hi Chris,

I tried to send a private message to you but couldn’t so am replying here. I have a new Fenix 7 Sapphire and AirPod Pros that do not stay connected. Ran the NYC Marathon 3 weeks ago and had frustration and no music due to this issue for the entire race. Called Garmin Support, did all the suggestions, ran a 10K this weekend and again, dropped connectivity. Please add me to whatever info/updates available. I am also experiencing problems with the start/pause button. In the past, I’ve had problems with the volume on the watch but thought it was user error vs a problem with the watch. Upgrading from the Fenix 5 Plus to this watch has been a disappointing experience. Whether it’s firmware or compatibility driven issues, my hope is that you and Garmin will be able to help. Thank you.
