iOS 16 notifications not clearing

Since the change to iOS 16 the Fenix 6 does not clear notifications in sync with the iPhone. The phone shows all notifications have been cleared, the watch still shows 50+ still pending. Clearing watch notifications individually is tedious. Any recommendations?

I have a similar problem and I believe it’s an iOS issue.

In fact, in iOS 16, old notifications aren’t shown on the lock screen unless you intentionally look for them.
On the iPhone lock screen, even if no notifications are shown, try swiping up from the bottom. If there are old notifications, they will now show up with an option to clear them all.
I guess you have quite a bit of them still hidden there.
I think apple should implement something to show the user that there are old notifications.
As of now, I know they are there because I see notifications on my watch. Then I clear them as I explained.
