Hi and thanks. It seems that now with setting the auto detect off I'm able to keep the correct values.
Under settings - Physiological Metrics on the watch, do you have Max HR auto update turned ON? Is he reaching that HR during activities?
If not it sounds like a bug of some sort.
Or it's rather a feature and you should check your dad's heart with a cardiolog
I personally checked from the daily health stats and he never achieved that HR. he is really weird.
I have the same problem. Max auto detection is off but my watch / garmin almost daily resets the max HR to 195. And this screws up garmin coach daily trainings... How do I file a bug?
I've tried setting the HR through web, app and watch. Every time it gets reset to 195
Same here. I had all set, but somehow it messes it up whether it is reading based on %Lactate Max heart rate, etc. I had to go to Garmin Connect and Garmin App to check that in both places and with all 3 different metrics the zones are the same. Then I connected the watch and updated it. I had it set to my lactate threshold and somehow it was reading something completely different...

i also have a garmin watch resetting max heart rate and heart rate zones even thogh auto detect is OFF. it seems to get messed up every time a new software update is pushed out. plus also random days. kind of irritating that i am not allowed to manually set this and have it stay set. can you please fix?
what is that number if i live in NH?
