Trying to understand the purpose of having Alpha & Beta release. My thinking is that if a user do not install Alphas, it will not register for the beta download and the other way around may be true. A user that is on the beta program will certainly install alpha too.
Maybe i am thinking wrong.

A simple answer is:
Alpha versions can still be installed by yourself
Beta versions cannot.
If you haven't signed up for the beta, you won't get one, but you can still install alpha versions manually.…
