Sorry, I can't help you but I wanted to say that I have the same problem on my Fenix 6 Pro ...which is why I'm on the forum today ...also running the latest software, 23.10
I don't know what they are looking for with running, but for cycling all you need is some proper efforts (power, not HR) to generate some anaerobic points.
Since HR is a bit rubbish for tracking sprints etc I assume that pace is used for running, but I honestly don't know.
This is for cycling with a 6X Pro Solar on the latest 23.10 firmware....
And here's the workout that generated my score on Thursday. 177 BPM is around threshold for me, so unlikely to be the reason for an anaerobic score. Power, on the other hand, was in intervals well above threshold...
Thanks for the reply, but I believe this is a geniune problem with the watch. I do a lot of interval training using a combination of jump rope and body weight excersize and usually this would generate a good amount of anaeorbic effort. Now, however, my data sits at 0.0
Same here. I just did a 3-hr mountain bike ride with 2 very hard climbs among others. I was breathing so hard on one I was almost wheezing. I looked at my watch and my heart rate was flat-out wrong. 114. I should have been redlining - around 175 to 180. It said 0.0 for anaerobic! Are you kidding me? Same firmware version for me too. Disappointing because it's dragging my metrics down.
UPDATE: my heart rate was so low Strava asked if I was riding and e-bike!! What the heck!?!

My workouts show similar repeats in anaerobic efforts but I’m getting a score of zero as well. I have started to include the HRM strap for sprint workouts too because sometimes wrist worn is just too laggy for sprints…still no dice. I am in the Fenix 5S still and I used to get anaerobic contributions …I’ve been looking to upgrade to the 6S Solar Pro but it doesn’t sound like it is any better. Feels like this is a software issue if everyone is having similar experiences.
I guess that the problem could be in settings of your max HR, threshold HR or HR zones.

You need to set your max HR correctly.
