Fenix 6X software v23.00
Starting my run tonight I noticed the small heart symbol was missing from the run screen, usually located at the top on the black segment just prior to starting the run. I went through the usual steps of making sure it’s wet, jogging on the spot and after no luck some gentle tapping.Also went into the sensor menu and swapped from ant+ to Bluetooth just in case it helped. Nothing would get it connected.
A friend I run with searched through his sensor menu on his Garmin FR245 and found my hrm immediately.
With retrospect my last few runs have had suspect HR data but with no real way of confirming post run.
I have deleted the sensor, restarted the watch and tried to add the hrm as a new sensor. The watch no longer finds the sensor despite repeated attempts.
I have noticed since v23.00 most runs are coming up as “Threshold” or even “Vo2max” despite some runs being truly easy with the corresponding low heart rate expected. This clearly is also now broken and it seems others are also seeing this.
Could it be we are all of us with external hrm straps are inadvertently running with values coming from the wrist and it’s going unnoticed?
Is anyone else seeing anomalies with hr straps or connectivity with other sensors?
Any suggestions or solutions gratefully received!
