Scratch in Saphire screen... How it is possible ?

Hi,

I bought F6 with Sapphire screen watch explicitly in order to not have any scratches. Recently i've noticed that is a very tiny scratch / hole in the screen. I don't know since how long it is there since it is nearly visible but now i know it is there i see it all the time. I've bought this watch in November 2021 so it doesn't even have a year and I wear it all day Run with it so I really don't understand how's that possible. My 6 year old iPhone 6s has sapphire touch ID button and it is in perfect shape compared to the rest of the phone... so i don't get it how here in 10 months it is already damaged.

Should i contact Support or they will tell me it is "normal" ?

What is scratched is the Anti reflective coating, not the sapphire.

You can get a chrome polish paste to get rid of it.

Thank you for you answer.
I didn't put any additional screen protectors. So I would assume that what you are saying is that the Sapphire is not the "front/first" layer of the glass right ?

I will try to google this chrome polish paste and try it out.

Polywatch product on amazon has good results too reported by serveral fenix owners.

Thanks a lot I will take a look and try to fix it. Or maybe not yet since it is a very small scratch it is just good to know it is not the Saphire glass that is broken :)

I've had the same with my sapphire after 3 months of use. The glass was deeply, I couldn't fix it unfortunately. I ended up getting a new one from Garmin (with paying extra €200,-). Using a glass protector is a no-brainer for me since then. I love my watch, but the glass for the sapphire isn't that strong as what Garmin advertises.

Just tried this and removed ALL OF MY SCRATCHES

Glad to hear this. I also removed all sratches and blemishes with Polywatch. Only $10 on amazon.

I think the quality of the sapphire has been reduced ovet the years?

On Youtube there is a video of someone attacking a Fenix 3 Sapphire with a drill, I doubt anyone would dare do that with an F6!! The F3 is completely undamaged

I wonder how much pressure he put on the drill. I have a defective Fenix 3 sapphire screen laying around on which I could repeat this experiment. Anyone interested in lending their sapphire F6 for a side-by-side comparison? ;-) BTW I think I read here that it is the anti-reflective/water repellent coating that scratches rather easily, and not the glass itself.
