After the latest update, Acute Load is viewable in the Training Status widget but I don't see 7-day Training Load anywhere on the device, or even in Garmin Connect. Do I need to manually add up the last 7 days of workouts to know my Training Load?

According to Forerunner 955 manual, "Acute load is a weighted sum of your recent exercise load scores including exercise duration and intensity." That's different from the Training load, which was simply the sum (with no weighting) of the last 7 days' load score. The new acute load weights the activities less depending on how many days ago they happened (and the newest most). I.e., in the old Training load, if you did one exercise only, your Training load would stay the same for the next 7 days (until the activity drops out of the 7-day window). With the new Acute load, it would be declining each day.
The above is based on my reading, since in my Fenix 5+ I'm stuck with the old Training load.
Thanks for posting that! I found the new Acute Load screen not very informative, and for other reasons had to revert to 20.50 anyway, so I have the 7 day Training Load overview again. Pity they don't offer both. Or a choice.
Enjoy your 5+! I still miss mine (it's broken), it was the best Fenix I ever had the pleasure to use. The extra features of the 6 are nice to have, but the 5+ was very very stable and reliable (for me - everyone is different)
How did you revert back? I don't like the Acute Training Load calculation at all.
I do not advise that going back to an old version, because that has an old CIQ, which is potentially incompatible with watchfaces, apps and datafields in the CIQ store. For example you won't be able to install Garmins Running Power field anymore. Reverting also resets all your data on the watch, for example your training status will be gone and needs a week to rebuild. I don't check for possible side effects on syncing with Connect, so you may run into those.
If the benefits outweigh the costs and risks: I used software version 20.50 from the backdate folder in the old beta zip file of version 20.51. I will not redistribute that file though, sorry.
The acute training load is not nearly as informative as the 7 day training load, anyone found a way to get this back?
The acute training load isn't as informative as the 7 day training load, anyone found a way to revert this without using an old software version?
I'm afraid the only thing you can do without reverting, is campaigning for it by all submitting the idea on the designated webform: www.garmin.com/.../
Not sure to understand...
From the training status widget, if I scroll to acute load and then click start I can see the acute load over 7 days...

If you have Physio True Up enabled, then Training Status will be re-imported from Garmin Connect at the next sync.
