I'm using the a free one from open maps and it is working quite well in Bandung, I followed the instructions from Ray of DCR in this detailed post from his website:

I never used for a real mountain hiking thus is do not know how it is suitable in this respect, anyway I know there is also an official Garmin TOPO map for Thailand/Indonesia if I'm not wrong.

Btw. I have read about THID(Thailand/Indoenesia) Garmin Topo map, but could not find any on Garmin web pages.

I found only some Charts maps, which are for sailing I guess.

Connect your watch with your computer. Move the *.img file(s) to your device, into the "Garmin" subfolder, for example E:\Garmin\country_gmapsupp.img

And here the official map from Garmin, to be paid 9.90 EUR

Thank you. I had found this webpages, but I was not sure if this is official. Unfortunately, there is no TOPO for Indonesia.
