Where is Race Day Widget?

As far as I know this is a new Feature on Fenix 7. It would be a surprise if fenix 6 would get it.

The Fenix 6 does not have this feature.

That's disappointing.  There's no hardware limitation that would cause this.  Garmin - please backport this to the 6, or at least make it clear the minimum specs in the connect app for this feature.  

Garmin makes cool devices, but they don't care about environmental protection, as you can see from this example. Functions only sell over new models. Honestly, most would spend 5 € for the widget even what would come to our planet and Garmin for a long time. After the second watch and this sales strategy I have slowly no more desire to garmin.

Well you cant say that for sure. They may have memory limitations so that not possible to add more functionality. In the embedded software world the manufacturer almost never add a lot of extra memory so eventually it will be almost full and they need to reserve some of it for bug fixes. 

Another reason for not back-porting the new features is probably because they want you to buy their newest devices. If they added it to your existing device then there would be no reason for you to buy a new watch and then their profit will go down. Just simple business decision. 

with that said I also wished they backported the functionality but sadly they did not and the race widget was something I really wanted so I replaced my Fenix 6 and bought the Epix 2 which I would not have done if functionality was backported.
