Images/Photo/Pictures

With all the power and smart functionality of this watch, are there no ways to store photos locally and just view them like an image/photo gallery? I can store and play music locally, why can't a store a view images locally as well? Am I missing something?

There is no native app to do it, probably because the display is small, relatively low-res, and with limited color capabilities. I don't know if a 3rd party IQ app can access internal storage, so not sure if such an app is feasible. The only way that comes to my mind is to create a watch face with a picture in the background.

The watch face "workaround" is the only thing I've found.

Make a few watchfaces using the Connect IQ app - it lets you supply your own image to make the watchface.

Once you see how terrible low res and awful the colours are, you'll realise why no one had made a photo viewer app.

It's a great watch but it's screen isn't any good at displaying images that haven't been specifically crafted/tuned for it.

Yes there's two programs, one will let you upload 99 pictures to your watch, the other gives you 21 pictures as a widget...
