Elevation Profile Is Clipped When Following A Course

I have been seeing this when following a course. I first noticed this two years ago and it hasn't been fixed. At some point, when following a course, the elevation profile become clipped and unusable. It seems to be fine at the beginning of a course. I can't quite pinpoint what triggers the profile to become clipped and was wondering if anyone else had a solution for this.

I have attached images of the elevation profile and what it eventually looks like during a workout.

Don't worry about the scratch. It is just the screen protector....the Fenix is fine.

I've seen the same issue twice now on my 7XSS; the latest is on 9.33. This was early in the hike: Early in hike

This was 3 hours later in the same hike: Hours later in hike

So the elevation profile is so broken that it's relatively useless, but I've found not every activity has this problem. Also, it seems that ClimbPro doesn't have the same issue.

This is likely triggered by the watch going off course (which happens a lot in my experience), then latching to a return part of the course. So there is some probability of whether that would happen on a particular hike or run.
