Removing workouts

I am trying to send a new workout to my watch, however, it says there are too many on it already.

How do I remove the existing workouts?

  • Hello,

To delete a workout, just go to the activity the workout belongs to and select the workout (as you would do to do it). At this point, instead of selecting "do workout", just go down until you see "Delete". Select that and you are done.

A similar procedure can be done from the activity list, long-pressing the up key on a selected activity, then "Training" -> "Workouts" -> select the workout you want to delete and again, instead of hitting "Do workout", go down in the menu until you see "Delete".

    Hope this helps ;)

  • Using the built in menu is fine if you only need to delete a few but if you would like to delete a bunch of workouts at once a faster way is to plug it into a PC or Mac and then go to the /Garmin/Workouts folder and delete from there. This lets you see all workouts vs just the ones that belong to the specific activity in the menu. You might consider doing that anyway since by default there are several workouts installed that you may not use but they still count against the total and this makes it easy to get rid of them if you don't need them.

  • One way around this is just to add the workout to your calendar.

  • Correct. If you use the calendar it's usually pretty good about cleaning up after itself and removing past scheduled workouts as space is needed. Every once in a while there's a problem and I still need to do some manual deleting but in general it works quite well.
