Currently an issue with several of the Garmin x45 series, fenix 6, and vivoactive 4 watches
To be fair, I ran with my buddy who has the Fenix 5 at the weekend. His gps was fine, recorded everything perfectly, my Fenix 6 was so far out it was laughable. Whatever the issue is, Garmin aren’t being…
My tracks are fine so this is very odd - the only thing I might do different to most people is that I use GPS + Galileo
I am not seeing any issues on my Strava feed from others - I have checked a few people I follow who posted yesterday and today, who generally all use Garmin. Does look like the 2021 New Year issue though.
I doubt this is anything to do with a firmware update.
I did a Run yesterday (Fenix 6 Pro, using v22.10, GPS + Galileo). The shape of the whole recorded track was fine. However, it was completely shifted (about 300 meters) compared to the real map. Rather annoying.
Off-topic: I also still don't understand why my recorded pace drops when running in a tree-covered area (upper right for example). My speed stays the same, that I'm sure about.
I suspected it was a satellite problem. Do you have a link to the comments ftom Garmin?

what was the issue ?
Hi,
I went cycling, did 7km and Garmin shown me completly different route and wrong data
Route was wrong , distance and time.
Garmin was updated few days ago, recently charged and I did not wear it for the night.
To compare, please see Google Map vs Garmin Map
Any suggestions?
Agnes
On both my weekday runs this week the first mile was well out, at one part i was running through peoples houses....well according to Garmin. Today on a trail run it was spot on. On the weekday run i had gps acquired for over a 1 minute before i started.
