Moon phase without GPS sync

There are few apps and widgets that do this in the store... May I recommend moonwatch....shows past and present, and can be animated too. 

Ps.. You only need a phone connection once a month to update times.

I tryed moonwatch, but it is a payed app. Other apps on the store are not even close to the native Instinct one. It is very simple and fast to access. I wish garmin would upload it to the store, since Instinct 2 has the iq store compability.

Anyways, I'll keep waiting.

OP is looking for a widget that doesn't always ask for a gps lock before any data is displayed. I don't know why Sun&Moon needs continuous gps locks so badly, but it's a pain in the butt.

No problem, I used it for a while and then stopped using it for that very reason. Without a gps lock, it just shows "waiting for gps" afair. It's rather pointless for something like sun & moon times.
