Software 21.00 Issues

My one is Fenix 6 pro, it is the similar  issue as you have after V21.0 update, the battery drained much fast than before, one night drained 50%  with fully charged. sometimes, battery died, it has to recharged again, V21.0 software sucks! 

It seems that the new Alpha 21.71 has fixed the issue with the workouts that could not be deleted via the watch.

Change log for version 21.71 (changes since v21.00):
Fixed an issue where user could not delete a Strength workout from device.
Fixed an issue with Metronome hot key not working in the Walk activity.
Fixed issue in the Jumpmaster activity where the listed elevation data would not properly update.
Fixed an issue that could prevent device from booting up properly.

I'm experiencing some issues too:

 - The battery drains as fast al 20-30% day without activities.

-  Trying to open the sleep widget restarts the watch. 

Factory reset didn't fix anything.

I have problems with accumulated ascend and descend, it gives 1.5x than what shoul do. Before firmare update was accurate.

I have some similar issues.

Sensors randomly disconnecting.

Wrist HR even worse at picking up HR than before.

Phone and watch don't stay connected.

Battery life is terrible. 20% used for a 30 min run.

Garmin, if you're going to use your customers in place of a Quality Assurance process, at least provide us a simple mechanism to rollback to older firmware versions.

Issues with Battery consumption during excercise is a big no no.
Any increase in Battery consumption recorded in Beta testing should automatically reject project & changes.
Product should be improved & optimised - not other way around.


Issue 1 : Battery consumption is the biggest problem for me since last 2 upgrades.
I cannot do more than 5 hours cycle as drains battery to 0. Not doing anything crazy - just GPS navigation + 2 external sensors

Issue 2 : Problem with multiple BT connection. Not sure if the firmware of connectivity caused that- but since last 2 upgrades i have problem connecting and displaying data from my Cad / Spd sensor. Once i switched to ANT+ no issues, when i get back to BT - Establishing Connection with no problem but not showing any data.

Issue 3 : GPS is way slower than it used to be. When navigating i get turn by turn (Set to follow route)
and not only that i don't get updates on distance to that turn (never worked for me) but i get prompts after my turn - as GPS got "frozen" for few seconds"

Issue 4 : Another FW rollout and yet another pack of bugs and issues. I would preffer to wait longer for new releases but have properly tested release than having so much trouble with it.

And here's the thing. Coming from Suunto to Garmin Environment - now just wanted to jump to Wahoo instead
Just to have full spectrum who's doing better

Suunto - annoys me with Facebook SDK approach, anyway - who knows what brings future for not so anymore Finnish brand...
Garmin - God damn - less upgrades, more testing and more stable releases !

Wi-fi sync stopped working since 21.00

After hard reset my 6X cannot find any Wi-fi networks. Could be related.

I got stuck in airplane mode, I managed to disable it by enabling battery save mode, and now I'm stuck in battery save mode and there is no way to disable it!!
