My Garmin Fenix 6 Pro keeps sending updates. Even after updating, after a while (few hours) it still says an update is ready.
With looking at systems-->updates it says an update for BT/Ant is ready. After running this update, it stills says the BT/Ant update is ready. It appears the watch doesn't complete the update?
The issue started a few days ago after running an update via Garmin Connect on the webbrowser.
Anyone a solution?
Hi, to my experience in that folder in normal conditions only cpe.bin should be present, a gdc file should be like an installation file of some sort, that the watch tries to install, but in case corrupted or something could be unable to complete.
I personally would delete it, if anything that the watch actually needs, or if it is a legitimate update to do the watch would download that again at next connection to express (or through connect mobile).
Even the CPE.bin can be deleted (it's basically an aid to the GPS positioning, should contain the up to date satellite positions) and the watch will renew it at first connection.
But I am not the most expert here, the above is what I understood myself, not "official" information, if you are doubtful maybe wait for additional advice
