Treadmill Activity stopped tracking Distance and Pace

Did you use any ANT+ or BLE sensors (heart rate belt, foot pod)? Did you maybe hold a handrail while on the treadmill? Does the watch count steps while you have not started an activity and walk around? Treadmill is an indoor activity and does not use GPS, so that should not influence things.

No I did not use any external sensors. I also did not hold onto the handrails. My watch doesn't count steps outside an activity, even if I am just walking around with my day to day business it still shows 0 on the step count

You mentioned a reset but it's not clear if you did the actual reset procedure. If you haven't done so try holding down the power button until it powers off, wait a minute, and then power it back on. If that doesn't fix anything the next thing to try would probably be a factory reset and see if that restores functionality. If it still doesn't work after that the best option would be to give Garmin Support a call since it could be a hardware failure.

I have reset by holding down the upper left button (light) and also I have reset it through the system menu resetting my settings and deleting my activities. 

Jason S - Can I ask what they are doing for you? I've had the same issue basically since I got the device, worked with Garmin helpdesk over a year ago on it, and finally just bought a footpod off eBay. 

They pretty much ask me what my software/gps/etc.. version is and if I do see anything on the About section with either zeroed out versions or if there is an exclamation mark on any of the pages. They've told me to soft rest the device as well and finally a hard reset.  

Did the hard reset work, or are they replacing the unit? 

Like I said on my previous post they concluded that it was a hardware issue so had to replace the unit
