dearest all,
I realize I have copied an existing thread but I have the exact same issue and been reading for the past 2 days if there would be a solution.
I have mine for three days now and the first day and a half all was well: I walked away from my phone and got a notification that the Garmin was out of reach, when I walked back again it notified me that it was connected again….. no problems there.
In the morning of the second day there was nothing wrong until I wanted to go for a run; I saw that B-shock weather didn’t update so I checked the app and there the fun started….. not so much fun.
and no-one seems to have a solution, I’ve tried them all………..
I have a return request pending but I hope this has maybe an easy fix?
below is the post I copied.
“I have a new Fenix 6X Sapphire that will not pair to any of my devices. After the initial unboxing and setup the watch did immediately pair to my phone, and I was receiving notiifcations however at some point the two became disconnected and it has been an effort in infinite frustration to try to get the watch paired again. I have tried the following to no avail:
1. Turn Bluetooth on my phone off/on
2. Tried airplane mode off/on
3. Removed/Re-installed the Garmin Connect App
4. Restarted my phone and watch
5. Hard watch reset
6. Tried to pair with several different devices: Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G, Samsung Galaxy 9+, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, iPhone X 64GB. None of these work
When I try to pair, the watch states "Initializing" but then states pairing failed while the app is still searching for the watch. The watch does not show up in the bluetooth device availability in any of my devices, and I have tried to use a bluetooth sniffer to see if it is broadcasting and the MAC address does not show up in any of those applications. I am confused as to how this device paired so seamlessly then just failed and now I can't even seem to get a bluetooth signal out of it”
