Hi, on my Fenix 6 Sapphire, Maps and Navigation or any other function that has to do with the maps once started reports on the upper side for a few seconds the notification (or error?) above. Updates all current are OK.
Any clue?

This is to inform you that some types of activities do not support incident detection. It was introduced in one of the recent firmware updates, I think.
Ah ok! Thanks. In fact I couldn't remember that but actually I played with it last night and it only appears on some activity, and always when I open the Maps and Navigation to alert for same.
I was wondering this myself. Apparently Fenix has a list of supported activities and unsupported activities for incident detection. To my surprise (and annoyance) MTB is not part of this supported list (anymore?), but for example gravel biking is.
Is there a way to manually add MTB to the supported list again?
I've no idea, you can write a feedback request perhaps but you'll never know if and when. I find it is a waste the fact the watch can't be in "detection mode" at all the times. One can have a car accident or faint when walking or whatever unexpected event which records an abnormal acceleration or gravity/G resulting from an impact etc etc...
Well it is a real shame that this was removed from a lot of activities that I'm using (MTB, eMTB, Ski). These are all activities in which incident detection was useful.
Unfortunately this is now gone for now.
It's a real bummer since this functionality was one of my main reasons to by a Garmin Fenix6.
EDIT: found out, that those activities are not supported with incident detection...found in the menu of the watch.
Probably this was not even supported from the begging, but now there is a warning message when you start an activity for user not to think this is supported with chosen activity.
Presumably it is supported with these activities on the Fenix7.
No, it's the same activities on all Garmin watches.
Yes, it was not supported from the beggining. I found it out some weeks ago while activating incident detection... it makes sense if you think about it. Garmin seems to use the internal accelerometer to detect an incident and there are many situations than could be considered an real incident while riding our MTBs.
I just bought a Fenix 6 Pro and I get Incident Detection Unsupported messages even for hiking and trail running. Is anyone experiencing this as well?
