Fenix 6 Pro does not display Maps

Hello everyone,

i have used, with great pleasure, my fenix 6 pro since last november. Sadly, just two days ago I discovered that my watch does not load/display maps anymore. The device still accuratly tracks GPS but navigation or just simply displaying maps doesnt work anymore. I have tried to restart the device to no avail and I have also tried to redownload and reinstall the maps on my device via Garmin Express but then I keep getting an error, so that doesnt work either. If anyone has any tips or solutions ill be glad to hear them.

The watch is running the most recent software: 20.50

Hello!

I have the same problem as the above user. I am using Garmin 6S Pro (Software 20.50) and it was been working fine for a more than a year. I do not know when it stopped working as I thought it may have been due to being on holiday but my guess is a few weeks ago.

The maps do not display or load, although I have good GPS signal (green tick etc). Everything is tracked accurately on Garmin Connect after the activity. But on the Fenix either using maps or during an activity, i see a very high level map (i.e. the most major roads and topography of the city but no detail and zoom in/out does not download any further data).

I have updated the relevant map via Garmin Express but doesn't appear to have made any difference. Does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Hi,

Have you try with a third-party map to compare ? http://www.frikart.no/garmin/

Is you map activated under the relevant activity ? Noob question question but sometimes :-)

Select an activity (run/trail/etc.)
Then Menu
Select 'Activity setup/config' (sorry French on my device)
Select 'Map'
Then 'Setup/Conf Map'
Enable (green) or disable the one needed or not (Minimum is DEM and your Region)

yeah this i sthe exact same issue i have. if i zoom out the map shows some stuff, but further zoomed in, nothing and routing/navigation does not work either.

Hi, I saw in a french Garmin Facebook group that some encountering this issue resolved it after reinstall through Garmin Express (computer app).

do you mean to completely reset the watch? wont i loose all my info on it?

You can reinstall the maps (only maps), if it doesn't work contact Garmin - Chris as suggested by him.

thanks bud! I did this earlier but it didnt work. I tried again just now and at least it succesfully reinstalled the maps. now i just wait to check if it works on my watch.
