  • OK...

Studying your pictures, I still don't know what it is you have constructed, why, or how it works.

    Can you supply some explanation?

  • gaijin,It is a custom-built power bank basically. With a 3080 mah 11.40wh battery from my old motorola windows mobile. The main attraction here, is the integrated Garmin charging dock for my Fenix 6 solar . Its working as a standalone charger and data sync cable too, If i plug it to my computer to charge the internal 3080mah battery, its also functioning as a USB-C data sync dock for fenix 6. For one i dont need to carry that idiot garmin cabe that plugs into the bottom of the watch leaving the watch leaning on its sides while charging. My next project would be something similar but wrist mounted, probably with a smaller battery and waterproof as well. this is something that garmin should have done from the beginning. My friend has a new range man, and it has a charging port on its side. So when he is navigating off-road and short of power, just insert a charger into his sleeve and have the powerbank in his pocket. Neat, thanks casio.

It's not a beauty to look at, but is a functioning prototype atm.

Well, as far as I know, Rangeman itself doesn't have a charging port. Rangeman has like the fenix 3 a docking station with usb port. So you have to take something extra with Rangeman. With fenix charging cable. With Rangeman docking station + charging cable.

  • Cool idea.... a handy no cable portable Garmin watch charge Dock station : -)

  • That's the one. The port is on its side.
