incident detection during move iq

The incident detection of Garmin only work during an activity. Does this also mean that when You have a move IQ detected walk the watch would detect an incident and sent your location to your emergency contacts?

Also, would like the function to turn on when riding a motorcycle or driving a car. Is there a way to set this up?

Incident detection is available only for outdoor walk, run, and bike activities, not Move IQ. Incident detection depends on GPS signal to report the incident, GPS is not active when you use Move IQ.

I guess you could track your motorcycle/car ride as a bike activity, but I don’t know how well it will work with the incident reporting, it is not exactly the intended use for this function.
