Pain in my wrist from Fenix 6x

I just read the link below that has now been locked.

I purchased a Garmin Fenix 6X Saphire about 2 months ago and absolutely love it (comared to my Samsung Active 2).

However, over the last 2 weeks my wrist has started to hurt.  The watch is very heavy, but it did not hurt like this for the first 6 weeks. It's a really deep pain and I almost feel as though something is gnawing away at my wrist. I find this really disconcerting, so when why I did a google search and discovered that I'm not alone!

Should I be dialling down the settings or turning off the OX monitoring?

  • I just turned off the OX sensor, so lets see if things improve.

  • In my opinion OX sensor on or off will not make any difference. The main problem is related to the weight and even more important to the size of the watch (distance between the two wristband pins), when the watch is so big especially if your wrist size is from mid to small than average like mine, the watch cannot wrap well around your wrist and always tend to move up and down the wrist bone pressing and irritating wrist and hand nerves creating the pain. I had in the past the same problem wearing at first the Amazfit Pace and then an Huawei Watch GT 46 mm, too big for me to remain well firm above the wrist bone that it is the correct position, i liked to wear the watches during night for sleep detection but i had to renounce as they were causing wrist and arm pain.

I have a Fenix 6S Pro that is perfect for me, I wear it 24/7 since one year now and no pain at all even without need of tightening the strap excessively, as the watch remains in the proper position even during sleep and no more wrist pain.

I understand that changing the watch now may not be nice, as someone in the other threads was suggesting, a solution could be using a silicon watch case that you can easily find online, it should help to keep the watch in the correct position avoiding sliding up and down the wrist bone, hopefully it can help.
