Honestly if you want every new feature back ported to older devices you have to purchase an Apple Watch. Only what's impossible to run (because of a missing sensor or lesser processor) is taken away. Everything else is included to the oldest supported model.

On Garmin watches some software features are treated as marketing tools to improve sales of the latest model.

That’s the difference between “every feature” and “a few features” 

That was with the introduction of the Instinct Solar. That got the Body Battery, and bc of that it was backported to the original Instinct. Similar to the backport of the stress score to the F5 with the start of the Fenix 5 Plus.

I am just saying that "some features" like stamina may be backported to fenix 6

It surely could be a fun feature to try out, but I'm still skeptic whenever it will be added, maybe if there will be enough demand for it they could do it... let's wait and see, I guess.
