Fenix 6x Asia Sapphire

Hello, I'm trying to figure out what software version is the latest on my fenix 6x Asia Sapphire, I can not seem to find it anywhere. I'm wondering because I just saw the latest firmware drop of 20.30 and it's not available for Asia/Pacific region watches, why is that? My current version is 19.40, why is it so far behind? Any help in understanding this would be great thanks!

APAC firmware versions are available on local Asian websites, but you should be able to download also by checking for updates…

Garmin releases the APAC firmware versions for their devices typically 1-3 months after the standard version release, so do not expect getting it that fast.

I am fine with waiting for a certain period of time, but I think Garmin should communicate with its APAC customer with regard to when an APAC update is expected. A general comment that updates do not apply to APAC hardware is not good enough.

So call them, or use the chat function on the support website. However, most probably they do not know themselves when they will release the firmware. Anyway, Garmin practically never announces the release dates of software, firmware, or hardware in advance, so do not expect they will give you that information, anyway. They will only tell you that you will recieve the upgrade automatically over Garmin Connect, or over Garmin Express, as soon as it is available.

That is essentially the answer I finally got from Garmin, but the point for me is just when I see a big update happening with my watch I want to get it so if they were just really upfront and say Asia series hasn't been released yet then all good. Instead I scoured the internet looking for why my watch wasn't updating and why APAC was so far behind (which still isn't clear why) so would at least save some time and wondering if they just said upfront why the things are the way they are.

As far as I know from old discussions where Garmin staff somehow contributed, once the standard firmware is tested and released, the headquarters pass the source code to the APAC branch, where they have to localize the software, and do all the testing and quality control again. All that takes considerable time of course.
