Year built from serial number? Fenix 6 age :)

Hi all, wondering if there is a way (a database or anything similar) to determine (or approximate) the "age" of the watch from its serial number.

Reason is... Bought 2 watches (plain Fenix 6) on Amazon warehouse - as "used in good condition" while they look basically both brand new; they have serials almost 200k apart (63N36xxxx and 63N58xxxx) apart, curious about how old are they respectively. Also, anyone knowing approx how many Fenix 6 are built every year?

Understand there is no direct connection between build moment and sale moment, nevertheless... I am curious

You must Sign in into you garmin account - top right corner, sign in.

And after - same icon, accounts, profile, products

Yes it works. My F6 pro was activated in July 2022 and its listed there along with about 20 other Garmin devices most of which I had forgotten about.

moreover, if you delete the device in your account and link it to another account, the original date will remain

The Datum in the EVL_Arch_Log says 12/18/2021 and I bought it in April '22. Seems to be correct.

That’s the date it was activated for the first time.

Are you sure? The date in my EVL_ARCH_LOGS says verNum: 8/13/2014 (00). I bought the watch in October 2019 (Fenix 6S Pro)

The date in VerNum is always 2014 (on Fenix 5 and 6) it is.probably the version of the event logger itself. You have to.look at the entries below that heading.

For me, "timeDay" is the day I purchased the watch and started to use it.
