Fenix 6 Pro charging time

Hmm. Garmins devices are slow loader. Guess thats normal.

But I'm comparing with my previous device, a Fenix 6 Sapphire which was replaced. As I remember it was charging faster.

When I got the replacement and charged I've noticed it is charging slow.

Can you tell me how much time is needed to charge from 0 to 100%?

Since the charge current isn't constant, the charge time is different e.g. for a charge from 20% to 60% than for a charge from 60% to 100%. You've not specified the charge range, so you can't compare the charge times.

You've only found a difference of about 7% during 1 hour. How about the tolerances in the technical specifications of the electronics components.

Charged from 28% to 100% in almost 2 hours

My 6 pro has been charging the same way for two years now) It's okay)

My 6x usually charges from 20% to 100% in about 2 or 2.5 hours.

They aren't a rapid-charging device, they trickle-charge to preserve battery longevity.

Never bothered me because it's such a rare occurance for me to even need to charge it, and with that being the case, it's really easy for me to pick a convenient time to do it.

Most of my recharges have been done because there was a new beta firmware that I needed to plug my watch in for anyways, and after I copy the firmware files on, I just leave it connected until it hits 100%. Often it doesn't drop below 20% until another new beta firmware is out

As written in other posts, my older FR645 charged pretty much exactly at double the speed, measured with an amperometer. So maybe with newer batteries, even on the same model, they decided to halve the speed in order to preserve battery life.

Sure it's annoying when you're in a hurry, but maybe on the long run it's good for battery life in the years to come. 

I had (first time ever) almost drained my F6 Pro Solar to 0% today. So I "hand tracked" the charge

So here was my progression:

6:53 0%
7:19 20% 
7:55 53%  
8:35 85%  
8:46 93%  
9:15(ish) 100%

So slightly more than 50% in 1 hour and full charge in 2h20m (ish) - I did not quite follow the last part of the charge so might have shown 100% earlier.

I'd be curious to make a chart with more datapoints, I might try that sometime in the future if I remember to. Sadly my battery is at 60% currently
