Sync Weight via MFP? (2021)

I had the same issue intermittently , tried to disconnect and reconnect but nothing worked, then I found out that if I weigh myself nothing would happen until I logged food and synched in GC.. works every time. I think the problem is that Garmin have never officially set this up to work with anything other than their index scales, just do they get more of your $$$ - so it’s more luck than anything else. 

Yea I used to use that in the past. Then switched to a Python script because I wanted to have the bodyfat data too. After that stopped working. I bought the Garmin scale.

During the time it took for delivery I manually imported my data with a csv file.

But yes, years ago it sent back weight to Garmin.

Yes. I have a Fitbit Aria scale, it only exports to MFP, and I'm seeing weight updates in Garmin which must be coming from MFP.

Thanks everybody... First for the input. It took multiple resets of 3 apps (GC, MFP, Healthmate) and their connections, but I am now syncing normally. Second, and more important, you confirmed that I am not, in fact, going CRAZY. I think I understand why tech support answered as they did, and that it probably has nothing to do with tech... 

Also, as noted by Robert, the weight won't sync to GC unless some new food is also logged into MFP. Even then, I have to click from My Day into Calories In/Out before it will pull in the calories and weight data along with it. That's probably why it stopped working for me originally, as I stopped logging food. At least it's all working now.

Back then I never touched MFP (or used any app) and still got the weight. 

(in fact, you'll need to enter at least one food for ANY day that you want to sync weight...)
