Fenix 6x sapphire crashes when searching for wifi

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the wifi on the fenix 6x sapphier.

Every time i want to add a wifi network to my fenix it keeps crashing when it is searching for the wifi. It keeps saying searching for wifi but nothing happens. The same happens when i want to add music with spotify.

software version is 19.20

I have tried adding the wifi via the computer and via the app on my phone.

I think I see the problem. The wifi version should be 2.60 for both 19.20 and 20.00. However, on mine, it's 655.35 which is the max for a 2-byte number. How to fix I don't know. Need to be able to reload…

I have a similar issue. Wouldn't connect to wifi so I tried deleting and adding it again. Now, it can't find any networks. My Son has the same device and has no problems connecting to our home wifi. He's running the same version as you 19.20. I was actually looking for a way to downgrade from 20.00 to see if it will help but by the look of it, I am wasting my time. Might RMA it.

I assume you tried a reboot of the watch?

Search for 655.35 in this forum and you will find the answer - get a warranty replacement.

I also have the same WIFI version as you. also think that that could be the problem.

I made also asked garmin support yesterday for help, waiting on their reply. if i get to know more, i will let you know.

I Had contact with garmin, I can send my watch to them, but unfortunately they can only replace it with a refurbished watch... my watch isn't even 6 months old and its a hardware fault. I find that bad service...

I have also raised a support ticket here in Australia. They have apparently never heard of this issue so they are escalating it with engineering. I am also concerned about getting a refurbished if they actually agree to replace it. I would have thought if it's in warranty which your is they should be replacing with new.
