Multisport Cardio - HIIT for Crossfit

I've been using multisport with weight training and HIIT, but like you, HIIT isn't an option, so I've been putting in cardio and changing it to HIIT later in the connect app. Selecting HIIT on the watch would be better so I don't have to change it. What's worse, I tried creating a new one, and I don't even see weight training in the list anymore. I'm glad I still have the one I created a while ago when it was an option.

I know this strategy but in that case we cannot use the HIIT characteristics like Tabata, ecc. 

My guess is that weight training and HIIT both require the use of the bottom right button to transition to different exercises and intervals, but a multisport activity needs the button to transition between activities. So the button conflicts and they don't allow those activities in a multisport mode. It seems like something that could be worked around some way. I'd love to see a solution.

Try to set a Hotkey (via settings/system/Hotkeys) for "change sport profile". This way you can create multisport activities on the go. Just start your cardio, change sport profile with your selected button shortcut to HIIT and continue your training.

Thanks for the tip, so helpful. Couldn't find the same information anywhere in the Garmin site. Edit: I use the Epix Pro and works well on that watch also.
